Social Media, On-Air, and Programming Intern at NASH FM - Harrisburg, PA
During the summer between my junior and senior year, I secured an internship with the Program Director of NASH FM 106.7, Chachi Angelo. I became known on air as "Intern Ninja" providing some banter back and forth occasionally during the afternoon show. Off-air, I ran their social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), edited and produced spots, and provided news and content for the show. I also provided some posts for their NASH blog. Chachi has a segment on-air called "Chachi's Choice" that he runs every Wednesday, picking a song that you may have not heard before. Every Wednesday, I wrote a blog highlighting the song and artist in case listeners missed it on-air. Below are a few sample blog posts!
I didn't have to stay in studio to get some experience at NASH. Throughout the summer, I was able to help with contests and do social media for the various local concerts. For Luke Bryan's Hunting, Fishing, and Loving Everyday Show in Hershey, we had a contest where listeners had to find me somewhere in Harrisburg or York and serenade me with a Luke Bryan song to win Pit Passes. During the shows, I updated Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram with concert photos and more to keep listeners engaged. During the Florida Georgia Line show in Hershey, PA, I was even able to meet a listener through a contest she won involving me on air.
